Rich & Di
June 2025 @ Couples own field, Trevone
Where to begin with this wedding! A couple living within 2 miles of Nicola, with lots of mutual friends – this was a joy from beginning to end!
Rich is a keen owner of a traction engine and some vintage tractors, and on Nicola’s initial site visit it was clear that they would play a huge part in the ceremony! Nicola was delighted to give the couples some recommendations for marquee and catering companies on the visit.
Nicola discussed the style of ceremony that the couple was after, and it was decided that there should be an oathing stone ceremony and it should end with a Cornish well wishing and a “tie the knot”. Nicola went to Trevone Beach, the site of the couples first date, to collect a stone to be used as an oathing stone, and kept in touch with the couple throughout, either by a quick visit, email or phone call.
The day dawned a little damp – but by the time that the ceremony was due to start the sun came out. Rich had done an amazing job on the field – traction engine and vintage tractors were on display – and the polished and gleaming bonnet of a tractor provided a wonderfully quirky signing of the register “table”! The ceremony went extremely well and it was a pleasure to chat to guests afterwards – and receive some lovely complements. The couple were delighted with the ceremony.
Nicola later had the oathing stone printed with the couples names and the date of the ceremony which she delivered to their home.
